Redbacks Snare the Foxes
Retravision U10's Redbacks played the Foxes on Saturday at Latham. Flynn 'Buffo' Buffington kicked our first goal in the first minutes of the game and went on to kick two more in the second half, he played a terrific skillful game. Tom 'Kimo' Kimpton played a blinder, kicking a goal in the first half, followed by three more in the second.Tom 'Rampo' Rampton had a great game, being involved right from the start with a fantastic run from the centre and along the side line getting around four defenders and just missed when shooting for the goals.
Breeanna Hickey cut the opposition to pieces in the centres gaining heaps of ball and getting it forward. Noah Davaris got stuck in as a defender and had some fine clearing kicks. Abbey Hill played skillfully in the centres and backs and tackled well. Bella Campbell had a run in the forwards and the backs and covered a lot of ground getting stuck in. Peggy Stacey had a great game playing all over the pitch, passing the ball and getting it forward. Jack 'Jacko' Gallagher was all over the Foxes attackers like a cheap suit frustrating their attacks and defending with skill and thoughtfulness. Callum 'CD' Dodd had a fair bit of work to do and didn't let any goals past him. The Redbacks played a fantastic game all round and showed great sportsmanship.
The Redbacks ran out the winners 7-0.
