Yass U7 Spiders vs Belwest Falcons Loss 6-1
The U7 Spiders made their first trip into Canberra with only 4 players available to take the field. Luckily Frankie Franklin and Grace Pollack from the U7 Redback’s were keen to help out and rounded out the team to 6 players. Our young players started well and showed some remarkable improvement in their first 10 minutes of play. Ewan McAleer was as enthusiastic as always. Harrison King was excellent in defence. The team showed off some new skills with their thrown-in’s and Alex Schofield had some strong tackles. Unfortunately Belwest found the net a couple more times before Ewan managed to put Yass on the scoreboard with a terrific goal. The team tried to hold out but Belwest was too strong in the end despite our littlest player Tegan Davis showing she wasn’t afraid to take on some bigger players.
